Around 6:40 am on June 13th, a gas explosion occurred at the Yanhu Community Market in Zhangwan District, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. The accident resulted in 25 deaths and numerous serious injuries. Following the accident, the Party Central Committee and the State Council attached great importance to the matter. On the afternoon of June 16th, Gong Guoping, General Manager of Xinxing Heavy Industry, led a team to inspect the safety production work at Beijing Sanxing. The inspection team listened to a report on Beijing Sanxing's implementation of Xinxing Heavy Industry's "Notice on Immediately Carrying Out a Major Safety Production Inspection," and the arrangements for the major safety inspection based on the company's current demolition and work-in-progress tasks. They inspected and supervised the pilot test center, natural gas usage points, fire-fighting facilities, warning signs, special equipment, and emergency plans. They put forward requirements for key control and dedicated personnel responsibility for the pilot test center and natural gas usage. They emphasized adhering to the safety production principle of "safety first, prevention first, and comprehensive management." They conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and thorough investigation and rectification of safety hazards in key areas and critical links, ensuring that no safety hazards were overlooked and that safety awareness remained high. Safety prevention measures were developed for existing safety hazards and risk factors, responsibilities were assigned, and safety was ensured for Beijing Sanxing's relocation work.

On the morning of June 16th, Jiang Junjie, Deputy General Manager of Xinxing Heavy Industry, and his team conducted a special safety production inspection at Tianjin Guoma. Han Jiel, General Manager of Tianjin Guoma, reported on the company's safety management work in the first half of the year. Jiang Junjie's team inquired about the implementation of the company's safety management system, hazard investigation, safety education and training for operational personnel, safety monitoring of dangerous goods transportation vehicles, and safety inspection and assessment work, and checked relevant documents and records. On June 16th, Li Jianwei, Deputy Chief Economist of Xinxing Heavy Industry, led a team to conduct research and supervision of the safety production work of enterprises in the Handan area. They required further review of the safety system and comprehensive inspection of safety hazards. At Metallurgical Resources, Li Jianwei conducted on-site investigations at the production site, gas storage facility, and tailings dam, put forward requirements for the prevention of safety hazards, and supervised the implementation of safety awareness, responsibility, on-site operation, and the combination of production and operation. At New Energy Equipment, particularly the heat treatment and painting processes, Li Jianwei supervised the implementation of the safety responsibility system and the safety protection of the production site. Based on the existing safety hazards and the recent safety situation in the gas industry, he made requirements for the company to effectively carry out safety management work.
