On May 20, Xinxing Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. held a demonstration of equipment achievements from the National Key Research and Development Program "Research and Application Demonstration of Key Technologies for Emergency Rescue in Complex Environments" project at the Dingbai Ferry Crossing in Changsha, Hunan Province. This included the intelligent underwater bulldozer equipment developed by 3611 and the tracked multifunctional drainage device developed by 6443. Nine participating research units attended the demonstration, including Xinxing Heavy Industry, Tianjin TEDA, Tianjin Yishan, Zhuzhou CRRC, etc. The demonstration was implemented by the user, the National Mine Drainage Shaoyang Base, and Tianjin Qianrui Ship Engineering Co., Ltd.
The underwater bulldozer equipment performed pushing, dragging, and walking operations in the Xiangjiang River at a diving depth of 6 meters. The underwater walking speed was 7 m/min. Parameters such as diving depth, bulldozer posture, and riverbed obstacles could be monitored from the control room. The multifunctional drainage device demonstrated autonomous movement by simulating subway steps and underground parking garage slopes. The equipment also performed navigation, drainage, and firefighting operations on the water.
The application demonstration of the two types of equipment in four scenarios invited project experts Zhang Shifu and Gan Qiuming from the Ministry of Science and Technology to evaluate the demonstration results on site. A qualified third-party testing agency was also invited to collect and inspect data. Based on the data from the third-party testing and the on-site expert evaluation, the application demonstration was a complete success.
